Practice accepting something about yourself and also accept something about your partner that you have had resistance to accepting.
Of course I am not asking you to accept poor treatment or abuse. I am talking about something you are critical about yourself or your partner that you just give it a rest for the weekend.
It is truly amazing how much positive impact we have over our mental and physical health by shifting from judgmental to accepting. Our muscles relax, our blood pressure lowers and we often act in ways that is so appealing to others that they often act in ways that then make our lives even better.
